Việt NamViệt Nam12/12/2023

At this time of year, if tourists are traveling from Hanoi to Moc Chau along National Highway 6, upon reaching Chieng Di 2 village, Van Ho commune, Van Ho district, they will easily spot a large flower garden right by the roadside, with many vibrant flowers, making them want to stop and admire them, capturing beautiful moments.

The flower garden is situated at the foot of a hill, offering a spacious and airy atmosphere. The entrance is adorned with vibrant yellow wildflowers, naturally growing reeds, and rows of buckwheat flowers. In the center of the garden, the owner has erected a large model of a Hmong flute – a unique musical instrument of the Hmong ethnic group – providing an interesting photo opportunity for visitors.

In Vân Hồ during winter, the weather is cool and crisp, with a mystical, ethereal mist enveloping the area, carrying the moisture of morning dew. As the mist gradually dissipates, the flower fields appear, dreamy and gently beautiful.

The gardener grows two types of flowers: rapeseed and buckwheat. The buckwheat flowers grow in clusters, their small, triangular petals forming a cone shape, swaying in the wind. Buckwheat flowers change color depending on the time of year. When they first bloom, they are white, then gradually turn pale pink, purplish pink, and finally deep red as they are about to wither. Buckwheat flowers in Van Ho bloom most beautifully around April, May, and from October to December. Rapeseed flowers are at their most beautiful from October to December. This is the ideal time for tourists to visit Van Ho and immerse themselves in the beauty of the flower fields.

The delicate white rapeseed flowers are surprisingly fragile, but when they bloom together, they create a vibrant carpet of blossoms. Strolling through this space filled with flowers, immersing yourself in nature and the dreamy scenery, visitors will forget all their fatigue and happily capture beautiful moments.

Mustard flowers are blooming in abundance.

Ms. Duong Thi Hai, a tourist from Hanoi, shared: "The air in Van Ho is fresh and clean. My group and I are very excited to be here. The scenery, the flowers, and the leaves are all pleasing to the eye, and the people are friendly. I've been here many times already, and I hope to visit Van Ho and Moc Chau many more times."

With the aim of growing flowers not only to increase family income but also to create a beautiful landscape for his hometown, Mr. Vang A Do, from Chieng Di 2 village, the owner of the flower field, shared: "My family has been growing flowers to welcome tourists for the past 5 years. Initially, I bought buckwheat flower seeds from Ha Giang to plant, and after each harvest, I use the seeds for the next season. The flower garden covers an area of nearly 5,000 square meters . Mustard flowers and buckwheat flowers prefer moist soil, so they thrive wherever the soil is moist. Mustard flowers and buckwheat flowers bloom after about 2 months of planting. With an entrance fee of 20,000 VND per person and 150,000 VND for wedding photos, the flower garden attracts many tourists to take pictures. On weekends, there are up to 400 visitors. On average, I earn over 40 million VND per season."

Besides the flower garden in Chieng Di 2 village, Van Ho commune, there are many other flower gardens cultivated by local owners to welcome tourists. Van Ho also has many interesting tourist attractions, promising visitors many memorable experiences when coming to this gateway to Son La province.
