In recent days, on social networks, content shared by Customer Pham Van Chinh about a VinFast VF 3 car going down Da Trang pass ( Hoa Binh ) when the car's brakes locked, spun and collided with the roadside.
After rescuing the vehicle to the Service Workshop, VinFast sent technical staff to coordinate with the Service Workshop to inspect, evaluate and record the following status:
- The car had an accident while going downhill and cornering. The road surface was wet due to light rain.
- The vehicle was impacted in the front and rear, the driver's airbag and front seat belts on both sides were activated.
Actual test results show:
1. The steering system did not record a steering system error warning before the collision, the installation status of the steering system components was normal.
2. The brake system did not record any error warnings before the collision, the installation status of the brake system components is normal. Specifically:
- The brake lining and brake drum surfaces show no signs of overheating. The brake shoes and brake drum are within specifications.
- There are no signs of brake fluid leakage.
- Brake pedal travel under standard conditions, factory brake force test results are within Manufacturer's standards.
- Vehicle data recorded no fault warnings on the vehicle prior to the collision. Immediately prior to the collision, system data recorded the driver applying the brakes and steering at a vehicle speed of approximately 59 km/h.
From the above results, VinFast and the Service Workshop have informed Customer Pham Van Chinh of the conclusion: the cause of the collision did not come from a technical problem of the vehicle, and no brake lock was recorded. The braking and steering systems on the vehicle were operating normally before the collision, and no abnormal warnings were recorded. Therefore, this case is not covered by the warranty, according to the terms and conditions of the VinFast warranty policy announced.
VinFast commits to transparency during the inspection process and is ready to cooperate in case the Customer invites an independent third party recognized by law to inspect the vehicle.
With this announcement, VinFast once again clarifies the information to Customer Pham Van Chinh and all Customers. VinFast hopes to receive the agreement, support and cooperation of Customers, not to spread false information that affects the brand reputation, rights and legitimate interests of VinFast.
