Celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), implementing Conclusion No. 85-KL/TW dated August 19, 2020 of the Secretariat on continuing to carry out activities honoring President Ho Chi Minh abroad; Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW dated May 18, 2021 of the Politburo on continuing to implement Directive No. 05-CT/TW dated May 15, 2016 of the 12th Politburo "On promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; 80th anniversary of the tradition day of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector (August 28, 2025); The President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site at the Presidential Palace in coordination with the Consulate General in Khon Ken, Thailand organized a series of activities about President Ho Chi Minh in Thailand. Specifically:
On the afternoon of August 28, the opening of the exhibition "Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of the era, bridge of friendship between Vietnam and Thailand " included more than 250 documents, images and documentary films introducing the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh - Hero of Vietnam's national liberation, outstanding cultural figure, worthy of the evaluation and recognition of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
In particular, the exhibition introduces in detail the time Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh worked in Thailand on his journey to find a way to save the country and liberate the nation. In any historical period, he always built and fostered the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Thailand.
Exhibition displays: 80 panels of images and documents celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector (August 28, 2025).

Part 1: The journey to find a way to save the country and the mark in Thailand
Photos and documents about Nguyen Tat Thanh - Nguyen Ai Quoc on his journey to find a way to save the country (1911-1930). (Map of countries where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked from 1911-1930, including Thailand). Documents and photos about Uncle Ho's time working in Thailand (1928-1929): historical sites, places where he stopped and worked with the Vietnamese community in Udon Thani, Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon... Documents and photos of Uncle Ho's journey of work in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Part 2: National liberation leader, building independence (1930 -1945)
Photos and documents about the process of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh preparing and leading the August Revolution, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (August 1945). Photos and documents about the National Day event on September 2, 1945. Documents, letters, and appeals of President Ho Chi Minh to compatriots and overseas Vietnamese, including overseas Vietnamese in Thailand. Activity content: Planting a "but moc" tree, which was grown from a "but moc" tree planted in the Ho Chi Minh President Relic Site, Hanoi. The tree was named by Uncle Ho when he saw the tree's roots emerging from the ground like the shape of "Mr. Butj" so that our people can easily remember and memorize it.

Exchange professional expertise on the work of preserving and promoting the heritage values of beloved Uncle Ho left in Thailand with the desire to best serve overseas Vietnamese, Thai people and international friends. Over nearly half a century since the establishment of diplomatic relations (1976 - 2025), Vietnam - Thailand relations have developed well in all fields, becoming a "strategic partnership", friendly and comprehensive cooperation.
Vietnam and Thailand are two countries with close diplomatic relations, both members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and other sub-regional organizations in the region. Over the past half century, political trust between Vietnam and Thailand has been continuously consolidated and enhanced through regular contacts and exchanges at all levels, especially at high levels. With cultural similarities and friendly personalities, the natural connection between Vietnamese and Thai people has been considered an important foundation contributing to the development of the strong friendship between the two countries over the years.
