Spring rice harvest has reached 43.5% of the planted area.

According to compiled data from the Sub-Department of Agriculture and Forestry (Department of Agriculture and Environment), the entire province has harvested 11,624 hectares, reaching 43.5% of the planted area. The average rice yield is estimated at 67.6 quintals/hectare, 0.3 quintals/hectare higher than the spring crop of 2024.

Specifically, Binh Luc district has harvested 47.4% of its area, Thanh Liem district 30.4%, Ly Nhan district 29.7%, Kim Bang town 72.2%, Duy Tien town 57.1%, and Phu Ly city 35.8%. Simultaneously, in preparation for the summer rice crop, localities have irrigated 10.4% of the land, plowed (in areas where early spring rice was harvested), and sown summer rice seedlings on 196 hectares.

In the coming days, localities will take advantage of favorable weather to quickly and efficiently harvest the ripe spring rice crop. At the same time, they will prepare the necessary conditions for planting the summer rice crop, ensuring the best possible timing. Particular attention will be paid to the areas designated for planting early summer rice to support the production of warm-weather winter crops.
