Spring rice harvest reached 43.5% of area

According to the statistics compiled by the Department of Agriculture and Forestry (Department of Agriculture and Environment), the whole province has harvested 11,624 hectares, reaching 43.5% of the cultivated area. The average rice yield is estimated at 67.6 quintals/ha, 0.3 quintals/ha higher than the 2024 spring crop.

Of which, Binh Luc district harvested 47.4% of the area, Thanh Liem district 30.4% of the area, Ly Nhan district 29.7% of the area, Kim Bang town 72.2% of the area, Duy Tien town 57.1% of the area and Phu Ly city 35.8% of the area. At the same time, in preparation for the winter-spring rice crop, localities have watered the soil on 10.4% of the area, harrowed (areas for early spring rice harvest) and sowed 196 hectares of winter-spring rice seedlings.

In the coming days, localities will take advantage of favorable weather to quickly harvest ripe spring rice. At the same time, prepare conditions for planting winter-spring rice to ensure the best crop schedule. In particular, focus on the area arranged for planting early winter-spring rice to serve the production of warm-loving winter crops.
