5,657.7 m² of rice paddy land will be reclaimed to establish a concentrated potted flower cultivation area.

The People's Committee of Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province, has just issued a decision on the land acquisition for the construction of a concentrated potted flower growing area in Dong Giang Ward.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Dong Ha City has reclaimed 5,657.7 ^m² of land previously used for rice cultivation from eight households in Quarter 2, Dong Giang Ward, to invest in the construction of a concentrated potted flower growing area. The People's Committee of Dong Giang Ward and relevant agencies and units are tasked with carrying out the procedures for reclaiming, receiving, and managing this land area to implement the construction project in accordance with current regulations.

Reportedly, Dong Ha City currently has about 8 hectares of land dedicated to cultivating flowers and ornamental plants, mainly concentrated in An Lac flower village, Dong Giang ward. On average, farmers in An Lac supply the Tet flower market with approximately 50,000 pots of various flowers each year.

The investment in developing a concentrated potted flower growing area in Dong Giang ward aims to help Dong Ha City develop environmentally friendly urban agricultural products with high economic value.
