Attracting tourists to Cam Pha

With strong determination to create momentum for socio -economic development, Cam Pha City is stepping up tourism promotion activities, promoting the city's potential advantages, not only strong in service industry but also a destination for tourists.

In recent times, Cam Pha City has made breakthroughs in tourism development. In particular, in 2024, the city welcomed 1.3 million visitors, an increase of 20.3% compared to 2023; bringing in revenue of nearly 800 billion VND, an increase of 11.6% compared to 2023. In particular, in the first 5 months of 2025, Cam Pha City welcomed about 815,000 tourists to visit and experience, an increase of 8% compared to the same period in 2024; revenue reached nearly 480 billion VND, an increase of 11% compared to the same period in 2024, an increase of 47 billion VND compared to the plan.

The above results show that Cam Pha City has had orientations for tourism development, including strengthening the management of tourism accommodation business activities, guiding tourism service businesses, and coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. At the same time, Cam Pha City coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ha Long Cruises Tourism and Trade Joint Stock Company to bring TUI Musement Group (the Group is managing and operating major cruise lines such as: Meinchift Cruises, Alida Cruises, MSC Cruises) and related units to conduct surveys of tourist attractions and tourism products in the locality to connect and create routes and tours between districts and towns in the province with Cam Pha City; improve the efficiency of exploiting the high-class hot mineral resort Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh.

The implementation of legal documents on tourism has been well implemented. More cultural and tourism events have been held based on the coordination of Multi-style Media Joint Stock Company to successfully organize the final round of the Miss Vietnam Tourism 2024 contest. The final round has promoted and spread the cultural beauty and people of Cam Pha City in particular and Quang Ninh Province in general to the community; introduced the potential of the locality, attracted tourists and stimulated tourism in the mining city.

Recently, the city has coordinated to organize the program to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Mining Region on April 25 (1955-2025) attracting over 10,000 visitors and people to participate, in order to widely promote the historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions of the nation in general, Quang Ninh province in particular, the typical values, culture, and people of Cam Pha with the tradition of "Discipline and Unity". At the same time, this is also an opportunity to introduce scenic spots, historical and cultural relics, tourist destinations, and typical types of tourism to promote investment and trade promotion activities in tourism services, social activities, charity, community communication, and economic exchange events. Thereby stimulating domestic tourism and expanding international investment, attracting the attention of tourists around the world to Vietnam tourism.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuong, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Cam Pha City, said: Currently, the city is coordinating to organize the Art For Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 event in Quang Ninh; coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to welcome the event organizer to conduct a survey in the area. Other cultural, artistic, sports and entertainment events will also be organized more in Cam Pha City, not only contributing to promoting destinations, spreading the image of the land and people of Cam Pha but also stimulating tourism, developing the smokeless industry in the rich and heroic mining city.
