
Representatives of tourism businesses from Thanh Hoa and Taiwan signed a memorandum of cooperation.
Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, affirmed: In recent times, the tourism linkage between Thanh Hoa province and Taiwan (China) has increasingly developed and achieved many outstanding results. The market for tourists from Taiwan (China) to Vietnam and vice versa is increasingly being effectively exploited by tourism businesses on both sides. The visit of the Taiwanese (China) Famtrip delegation to survey and evaluate tourism products and connect tour routes in Thanh Hoa is an important event, further affirming the close relationship and strong linkage between Thanh Hoa tourism and its Taiwanese (China) partners. This is also one of many activities and events that Thanh Hoa province is directing to boost tourism demand and attract international tourists to the province.
At the conference, representatives from several tourism businesses in Thanh Hoa province presented unique tours connecting typical destinations such as Sam Son coastal tourist urban area, Ben En National Park, Pu Luong community eco-tourism area, Lam Kinh National Special Historical Site, Ho Dynasty Citadel World Cultural Heritage site... in a journey to explore Thanh Hoa.

The Taiwanese famtrip group visited the sacred fish stream of Cẩm Lương (Cẩm Thủy district).
Many tourism businesses from Taiwan (China) expressed their admiration for the natural beauty and cultural depth of Thanh Hoa province, and offered suggestions for potential cooperation, sharing of tourist resources, organizing joint surveys and promotions, and providing digital support in destination marketing. Some travel agencies also expressed interest in developing tour packages combining heritage exploration, local cultural experiences, and high-end resorts, focusing on green tourism and experiential travel, which are popular among Taiwanese (China) tourists.
Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Nguyen Van Thi, affirmed: With its diverse tourism products, especially beach resort tourism, MICE tourism, golf tourism, cultural and historical tourism, and community-based ecotourism, Thanh Hoa province's tourism industry expects to soon welcome Taiwanese (Chinese) tourist groups to Thanh Hoa. The province is committed to supporting and creating favorable conditions for investors and businesses who wish to explore investment opportunities, conduct business, find partners, and bring international tourists to Thanh Hoa.

In recent years, Thanh Hoa has consistently ranked among the top provinces in Vietnam in attracting the largest number of tourists. Specifically for international tourists, the majority come from Asian markets such as China and Taiwan (China), accounting for 28.9-30.8%; Japan, accounting for 15.5-16.2%; South Korea, 10.0%; and Israel, 5.9%.
