DNO - The Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said that from January 8 to 12, the center coordinated with the Da Nang Tourism Association and the Astindo Indonesian Travel Association to host a famtrip tour of 35 members from many cities in Indonesia.

According to the program, the delegation focused on surveying prominent destinations in Da Nang and the Central region such as Sun World Ba Na Hills Tourist Area, Ngu Hanh Son National Special Monument, Cham Sculpture Museum and Hoi An Ancient Town ( Quang Nam ).

Within the framework of the famtrip program, the Department of Tourism organized a seminar with the theme "Solutions to attract the Indonesian tourist market and promote the opening of flights from Indonesia to Da Nang".

Here, Indonesian travel agencies were provided with an overview of the destination including typical products, services, service capacity and tourism development achievements of Da Nang in recent times. At the same time, the Indonesian side also introduced to local guest businesses an overview of this market.

Participating businesses also focused on discussing solutions to effectively exploit flight routes from Indonesia, including charter flights, connecting flights and promoting the opening of direct flights.

Indonesia is considered a potential market with the 4th largest population in the world and the largest in Southeast Asia with over 280 million people. The Muslim market from Indonesia is not too strict, but services labeled Halal-friendly will encourage customers to use the service more.

It is known that with the orientation of diversifying the source market of visitors, focusing on specific markets such as the Muslim market, Da Nang tourism has increased promotion to the Indonesian market, focusing on developing Halal services.

In 2023, the number of Indonesian visitors to Da Nang will be more than 26,000, reaching about 25% of the total number of Indonesian visitors to Vietnam.
