Nguyen Hoang Duong, class president of International Business class 62B, Institute of International Trade and Economics, National Economics University (Hanoi) is one of the rare students with an average graduation score of 4.0. /4.0 (calculated on a scale of 4) and 9.59/10 (calculated on a scale of 10).

Desire to become a happy person
Duong was born in Thai Nguyen in a family whose parents are both teachers. In 2017, while studying in middle school in his hometown, the boy was honored to receive the title of outstanding outstanding student of the province.
In high school, Duong's family decided to send their son to study at Nguyen Tat Thanh Middle and High School, Hanoi University of Education. “The first days of living in the Capital, I was quite confused. At 3 a.m. every day, I wake up to catch the bus to school. Independent life started for me with the smallest things like cooking, finding my own way to school and studying on my own...", Duong recalled.
During 3 years of studying at Nguyen Tat Thanh Middle & High School, Duong always had top academic achievements with final scores: 9,5, 9,6 and 9,7 respectively. With the above achievements, Duong passed the automation major of Hanoi University of Science and Technology through talent admission. “I thought I was not suitable for polytechnics, so I decided to choose National Economics University to pursue my passion for business.
The reason I chose National Economics is because first of all, economics is the field that I am passionate about and interested in. In addition, at this school, when connected to the business network with many extracurricular activities, I think I will have a lot of "land" to develop," Duong recalled.
“On the day of the opening ceremony, a representative of new students spoke. I sat below thinking, if one day I could stand on the podium and speak and my relatives below would be so happy. Thinking so, I set a goal of becoming valedictorian of the whole school," the male student said.

Sharing about his academic and research achievements, Hoang Duong remembered the first time when he came to the National Economics University, he happened to meet a very friendly and open Associate Professor.
The teacher looked at me and said, "This guy has potential for scientific research, do you want to try?" At that time, I had no idea how to do scientific research, but thanks to my teacher's encouragement, I started researching and gradually became passionate.
Every opportunity to participate in writing and publishing research, I learn lessons to train my thinking and expand my academic knowledge. Therefore, I put a lot of effort into learning and improving through each scientific research publication.
