
According to Bui Nguyen Khoi, Director of the Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority, as of June 12th, the revenue from maritime fees and charges in the Hai Phong seaport area reached VND 514.3 billion, equivalent to 73.2% of the 2026 plan and a 24% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
These statistics show a positive growth trend in the volume of ships passing through the Hai Phong seaport area.
Specifically, port authority fees collected reached VND 132.2 billion, an increase of 23.45%; maritime security fees reached VND 373.5 billion, an increase of 24.65%; port entry and exit fees reached VND 8.3 billion, an increase of 7.14%; and port security fees reached VND 120 million, an increase of 53.8% compared to the same period in 2025.
From the beginning of the year to June 12th, the volume of goods handled through the Hai Phong seaport area reached 60.1 million tons, equivalent to 49% of the 2026 plan and a 7% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
Of this total, goods transported through ports by sea reached 50.3 million tons; and by inland waterways reached 9.8 million tons.
From the beginning of the year until now, the total number of vehicles circulating in the Hai Phong seaport area has reached 20,595, an increase of 5% compared to the same period last year. This includes 8,991 seagoing vessels and 11,062 inland waterway vessels.
From now until the end of 2026, the Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority will continue to monitor the maintenance of maritime infrastructure and maritime activities; inspect the business conditions for operating seaports; manage and supervise construction and dredging projects in the Hai Phong seaport area to ensure traffic safety, disaster prevention, and search and rescue within its management scope. The unit strives to complete 100% of the plan for collecting maritime fees and charges in 2026, reaching 702.2 billion VND.
