Arsenal's mettle in the title race continues to be questioned. After being defeated 0-2 at home by West Ham, Mikel Arteta's team lost again to Fulham in the 20th round of the Premier League.

The away team got off to a good start with an early goal from a counter-attack in the 5th minute. Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno saved Gabriel Martinelli's shot, but the ball rebounded right to Bukayo Saka. The English midfielder easily slotted the ball into the empty net to open the scoring.

An early lead didn't mean an easy game for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta's players struggled against the opponent's fierce challenges. They were unable to control the midfield.

Fulham's ball possession was also quite good. The home team equalized in the first half with a counter-attack. Tom Cairney assisted Raul Jimenez, who finished from close range to score against Arsenal.

The game remained unchanged after the half-time break, despite Arsenal's attempts to push forward and attack more. Saka and his teammates were unable to increase the tempo of the game and put pressure on their opponents. When faced with a deadlock, the Arsenal players became disorganized and made numerous mistakes or poor decisions.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's defense continued to be sloppy. Gabriel Magalhaes' clearance deflected off his teammate Takehiro Tomiyasu. Bobby Reid seized the opportunity to score from close range, giving Fulham the lead in the 59th minute.

The Gunners were further confused. They continued to struggle to find an effective attacking solution. Arsenal's sluggishness and indecisiveness left them completely outmatched by the home team's strength in tackles. The Gunners failed to score and lost 1-2.

Losing 1-2, Arsenal remain in 4th place in the league table and are only one point ahead of Tottenham. Tottenham beat Bournemouth 3-1 in their simultaneous match with goals from Sarr, Son Heung-min and Richarlison.
