The project is being piloted at Vinacam Agricultural Cooperative in the winter-spring crop of 2024-2025 and summer-autumn crop of 2025 with an area of 50 hectares. The entire rice area applies high-quality, low-emission cultivation processes according to the instructions, and pesticide residues meet the standards for export to demanding markets such as Europe and Japan.

At the seminar, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center highly appreciated the cooperation of partners in the project, especially consuming enterprises, in which A An Food Joint Stock Company cooperated to purchase all rice output of Vinacam Agricultural Cooperative. This is a positive signal, demonstrating the strong connection between farmers, cooperatives and enterprises. The presence of enterprises purchasing rice right from the beginning of the season is a decisive factor, helping farmers feel secure in production. At the same time, it encourages farmers to comply with technical processes to create standard products. This connection not only brings benefits to enterprises but also ensures stable income for farmers.

Delegates agreed on the need to continue promoting the linkage of the “four houses” (State, farmers, businesses, scientists ) to form a closed value chain in rice production and consumption. This is considered a key solution to help An Giang’s rice industry develop stably, improve competitiveness and effectively adapt to market requirements in the new period.

In the 2025-2026 winter-spring crop, the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center will expand the model to 1,280 hectares of the large-scale field project, applying the "1 must, 5 reductions" technique. The goal is to gradually replicate it throughout the province to apply the high-quality and low-emission rice cultivation process, contributing to the success of the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation, associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta by 2030 in An Giang .
