In response to Vietnam's Science , Technology and Innovation Day on May 18th, and within the framework of Techmart Vietnam 2026, the Innovation Department, in collaboration with the Information and Statistics Department and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, organized the workshop "Promoting Technology Supply and Demand Connection in 2026" on the morning of May 20th, 2026 in Hanoi.

Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Innovation Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, emphasized that promoting technology transfer, commercializing research results, and developing the science and technology market are of particular importance in the current period.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Ha, Deputy Director of the Innovation Department, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW has set forth the requirement to strengthen the connection between research and production, business and social life, creating conditions for research results to quickly enter practice, and strengthening the link between the State, scientists and businesses.
In reality, Vietnam already possesses many technologies, solutions, and research results ready for transfer. However, the gap between technology suppliers and those needing application technology remains quite large. Many businesses face difficulties in accessing suitable technologies, while research organizations also lack the conditions to effectively connect with the market.
At the workshop, representatives from state management agencies, research institutes, universities, businesses, and intermediary organizations in the science and technology market exchanged views on the current state of technology supply-demand connectivity, and the role of consulting, brokerage, and technology evaluation activities.
Opinions expressed at the workshop suggested that, in order for research results to truly translate into production and daily life, it is necessary to further improve policy mechanisms, enhance the capacity of intermediary organizations, and build a transparent and easily accessible technology data system to help businesses and localities find solutions that suit their practical needs.
Based on that, the management agencies will continue to implement solutions to enhance the effective implementation of policies on promoting the development of the science and technology market, promoting the application, transfer, and commercialization of research results…
Within the framework of the Conference, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology announced a list of 112 technologies, solutions, and research results ready for transfer, and connected these technologies to the National Science and Technology Exchange Platform.

Associate Professor Phan Tien Dung, Head of the Science and Technology Committee of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, stated that the list of technologies ready for transfer of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology includes many technologies in fields such as artificial intelligence and digital transformation, environmental technology, agriculture and fisheries, new materials, aerospace technology, biotechnology, and analytical equipment.

On this occasion, representatives from research institutions, businesses, and intermediary organizations signed a Memorandum of Understanding to connect actions and move towards more substantive activities in the future to improve the effectiveness of technology application and transfer.
