Connecting data to the market.
In the current phase of deepening digital transformation, bringing science and technology products to the digital environment is no longer merely a technical operation, but has become a strategic solution for developing the local digital economy – where data, technology, and markets are connected in real time.
The HueEcom platform, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, plays a crucial role as a bridge between e-commerce platforms, suppliers, and consumers. Integrated into Hue-S, this platform allows individuals and organizations to open stores and connect with major e-commerce platforms such as Shopee and Lazada, with a particular focus on specialty products and science and technology products originating from Hue . To date, 1,329 products have been updated to the system, of which 839 are being regularly traded.
Mr. Pham Dinh Quy Thich, owner of a Hue sim wine production facility, expressed: “Since learning about HueEcom, I see it as a potential commercial channel, very suitable for promoting products bearing the Hue brand. With its professionalism and wide reach, HueEcom helps us reach consumers more easily. I will soon register my business on this platform.”
Beyond its commercial platform, the Smart City Monitoring and Management Center has built a dedicated page for science and technology products integrated into the Department's electronic portal. This serves as both a tool for digitizing and standardizing data, and a transparent communication channel, supporting businesses and scientists in accessing the market in a practical way. Maintaining weekly communication for each product not only aims to promote them but also demonstrates the city's clear commitment to supporting the science and technology community.
Ms. Hoang Thi Nhat Phuong, Director of SBC Hoang Gia Co., Ltd., shared: “In less than 3 hours, the entire support process, from reviewing and evaluating applications to product communication, was implemented systematically and professionally. We are truly grateful for the responsible support from the Department.”
The science and technology product portal also creates an interconnected, public, and transparent data source, contributing to expanding the market for research results and innovative products from the locality. This model operates in accordance with the "three-party" principle: the State acts as a bridge, scientists provide knowledge, and businesses are the beneficiaries, contributing to the formation of a modern, transparent, and highly interconnected science and technology ecosystem.
Enhancing the digital capabilities of the entire population through digital skills and tools.
In the process of building a digital government and smart city, the city focuses on enhancing the digital capacity of the community so that each citizen is not only a beneficiary but also an active participant in the digital environment.
In its leading role, the Department of Science and Technology organized digital skills training for nearly 600 officials and civil servants, and disseminated knowledge to over 1,105 members of community digital technology teams in 141 wards and communes. In addition, the online learning system on the Hue-S platform has become a key training tool, with 16 basic video lectures on using digital signatures, electronic identification, cashless payments, network security, etc., attracting over 95,000 learners and nearly 700,000 learning sessions.
In addition to basic education, in-depth training programs such as those on the Mobiedu.vn platform or courses on digital space security on dean06.daotao.ai continue to expand the depth of reach. This is not just a professional action, but a multi-layered approach strategy, bringing digital skills into the community in a systematic and sustainable way.
On the Hue-S platform, the digital service ecosystem is expanding rapidly in a "one-touch" direction: from paying electricity, water, hospital fees, and tuition fees, to accessing records, reporting incidents, and interacting with state management agencies... To date, the city has more than 77,877 FPT wallet accounts and nearly 173,000 Viettel Money accounts active on Hue-S, with 694 payment acceptance points covering the entire area. In the education sector alone, 189 schools have implemented tuition fee collection via Hue-S with a total transaction value exceeding 23 billion VND.
According to the Department of Science and Technology, building upon a solid digital data foundation, the city has been implementing a series of comprehensive smart urban services, bringing practical and tangible benefits to citizens and businesses, while significantly improving the efficiency of state management. These services are not merely applications of technology but also a vivid manifestation of a proactive government that always puts the interests of its people first.
From learning to transactions, from digital skills to smart consumption, the people of Hue are gradually becoming active participants in the digital transformation journey. This is clear evidence of the strategy of developing digital capabilities from the grassroots level – where people are placed at the center, technology is the tool, and the digital environment is the real living space. When digital consumption becomes a habit, the digital economy will become the foundation.
