Thuram shines against Barcelona. |
In the early morning of May 1, Marcus Thuram scored a superb backheel goal in the first minute, helping Inter open the scoring at Barcelona's Lluis Companys Stadium. The Catalan club is Lilian Thuram's former team, where he played 41 times between 2006 and 2008. In the last match, Lilian was also present in the stands to watch her son play.

Scoring crucial goals in semi-finals seems to be a Thuram family tradition. In the 1998 World Cup semi-final, Lilian Thuram scored 90 seconds into the second half in France's 2-1 win over Croatia.
Besides Marcus, Lilian Thuram also has a son who also plays for Juventus, Khephren Thuram.
This season, Marcus is leading the list of Inter's top scorers in Serie A with 14 goals, 2 more than Lautaro Martinez. In the Champions League, Lilian Thuram's son has 4 more goals.
