Formula 1 motorboat of the Binh Dinh team

At noon on March 24th, the leaders of Binh Dinh province and the Chairman of Binh Dinh F1 company went directly to the race area to join team captain Jonas Andersson in opening the container of the Formula 1 motorboat belonging to the Binh Dinh - Vietnam team.

The Bình Định team's racing boats, worth over 18 billion VND, docked at Thị Nại Lagoon on March 24, 2024. This was the first time fans had the opportunity to see these expensive boats in person.

Here, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, and Mr. Tran Viet Anh - Chairman of Binh Dinh F1 company, interacted with team captain Jonas Andersson and then jointly opened the container of the F1H2O motorboat of the Binh Dinh F1 racing team. Also present were provincial leaders including Mr. Lam Hai Giang - Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh province, and Mr. Nguyen Van Dung - Secretary of the Quy Nhon City Party Committee.

The F1H2O motorboat features the Vietnamese flag as its main design element, with the entire boat covered in a vibrant red color and a five-pointed star in the center of the bow. This makes the home team easily identifiable on the race track, promising to bring much emotion and pride to all Vietnamese racing team supporters.

According to the plan, the UIM F1H2O International Professional Motorboat Race (Grand Prix of Binh Dinh 2024) will officially take place from March 29-31, 2024 in Thi Nai Bay (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province) - the same location where the UIM Aquabike World Championship 2024 is currently being held. These races are activities that attract the attention of many locals and tourists in Binh Dinh during the Week of Activities. The Binh Dinh Sports , Culture and Tourism Festival 2024 (AMAZING BINH DINH FEST 2024) will take place from March 22nd to 31st, 2024 in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.

After opening the container holding the boat and introducing it to everyone, the captain of the Binh Dinh F1 racing team, Jonas Andersson, shared: "I hope my team can confidently win on our home track with this incredibly powerful motorboat."

Speaking about competing at Thi Nai Lagoon, he added: “This is a new race location and there will be many interesting things about the new racing conditions, such as wind and waves... It will be a challenge, but we will try our best to win the Vietnamese leg, on home soil.”

The leaders of Binh Dinh province were also extremely excited to see the first images of the boat. The presence and encouragement of the Binh Dinh provincial leaders show the local government's interest in the Grand Prix of Binh Dinh race as well as the Amazing Binh Dinh Fest 2024 week taking place at Thi Nai Lagoon.

Following a successful run at the Grand Prix of Indonesia, the Binh Dinh – Vietnam Formula 1 motorboat team reunited on the afternoon of March 23rd. Simultaneously, containers carrying the super motorboats arrived at the athletes' area at the Thi Nai Lagoon racetrack. Taking advantage of being the host team for the second leg, team captain Jonas and Estonian driver Stefan Arand were present to survey the competition area and to support the UIM Aquabike World Championship 2024 currently taking place at Thi Nai Lagoon (Quy Nhon City).
