Tra Tap commune has 21 families receiving preferential treatment, including 14 war invalids and 7 people with meritorious service. In recent times, in addition to providing good care and moral support, this mountainous locality has actively implemented practical activities such as building houses of gratitude, collecting the remains of martyrs, and raising funds for the "Gratitude and Repayment" program... aiming to improve the material and spiritual quality of life for these families. Specifically for this year's War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27th), the commune leaders assigned working groups to visit each household receiving preferential treatment.

Ms. Pham Thi My Hanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tra Tap commune, said: “Tra Tap is the cradle of the revolution in Quang Nam province during the resistance war against the US, with the protection and support of the Xe Dang and Ca Dong people. Taking care of policy beneficiary families and those who have made contributions demonstrates the principle of 'drinking water, remembering the source,' while also educating about traditions and instilling pride in the younger generation.”

In Tay Giang commune, after receiving 681 gift packages from the Da Nang City People's Committee, the local authorities promptly met with and personally handed over the gifts to the beneficiaries. Tay Giang commune itself allocated funds from its budget and the Gratitude Fund to organize visits and gift-giving to 7 individuals who are relatives of Heroes of the Armed Forces, relatives of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and 36 individuals who are children of meritorious individuals.

Mr. Bhling Mia, Secretary of the Party Committee of Tay Giang commune, shared that thanks to the care and encouragement of the Party and the State, policy beneficiary families and meritorious individuals in the commune have overcome difficulties and risen in life, actively developing the economy and achieving sustainable poverty reduction. What is particularly valuable is that war invalids and sick soldiers always uphold the spirit of Uncle Ho's soldiers, serving as exemplary role models in the movement of mutual support for development and contributing to the construction of new rural areas.

On the occasion of July 27th this year, in addition to visiting and giving gifts to encourage others, the People's Committee of Dong Duong commune also presented 60 savings accounts to 60 policy beneficiaries and people with meritorious services.

Mr. Dang Huu Thong (from Bac Binh Son village, Dong Duong commune), son of Heroic Vietnamese Mother Duong Thi Huong (98 years old this year), said that his mother had two children, Dang Huu Trung and Dang Thi Hoa, who sacrificed their lives in the resistance war against the US. Over the years, policies and regulations regarding the commemoration of martyrs and the care of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers have been meticulously implemented by all levels and sectors, especially during holidays and festivals. Several units and businesses have pledged to support her for life. This is a great source of comfort and encouragement for the family to continue upholding revolutionary traditions, raising their children and grandchildren to become good people, and contributing to the development of their homeland and country.
