The Ring Road 4 – Capital Region project has a total length of nearly 113km, passing through 3 provinces and cities, including Hanoi (58km), Hung Yen (19.3km), and Bac Ninh (36.2km). Hanoi aims to complete the parallel road to Ring Road 4, approximately 58km long with 6 lanes, by the fourth quarter of 2025.

Reportedly, the progress of the Ring Road 4 project, passing through 7 districts and counties of Hanoi city including Soc Son, Me Linh, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Ha Dong, Thanh Oai and Thuong Tin, has basically met the set requirements.

However, for construction sites with weak soil foundations, such as in Ha Dong district, the construction unit has not yet been handed over the land ( agricultural land, residential land, factory land, graves, existing underground and aboveground infrastructure, etc.), thus facing difficulties in ensuring the progress of the embankment and loading work for the weak soil treatment sections.

Ring Road 4 intersects with National Highway 6 in Ha Dong District. This area is considered one of the major interchanges of the project.

In the Phu Lam, Phu Luong, and Dong Mai wards, the Ring Road 4 project is entering the preparatory phase for paving the parallel road surface.

Currently, some sections of the Ring Road 4 project passing through Ha Dong district have completed the embankment and roadbed reinforcement work, and have begun paving the road surface.

A section of the project is still obstructed by high and medium voltage power lines that have not yet been relocated to clear the land.

The Ring Road 4 is expected to help Ha Dong district enhance connectivity, create momentum and ripple effects across the region, and lead to breakthroughs in socio-economic development and ensure national security and defense of the district.
