Safely destroy 100kg bomb

On May 8, at Duc Xuyen Training Ground, the Military Command of Krong No district coordinated with the Engineering Company of Dak Nong Provincial Military Command and related forces to safely relocate and destroy a bomb left over from the war.

Previously, the bomb was discovered by local people in a garden in Phu Vinh village, Quang Phu commune, Krong No district. Immediately after receiving the news, the Military Command of Krong No district directed local forces to block off the scene, ensuring absolute safety to handle the bomb.

Authorities moved the bomb to a disposal site.

The bomb was detonated safely.

According to authorities, the bomb was an AN-M88 explosive bomb, about 80cm long, 25cm in diameter, and weighed about 100kg. After verification and careful preparation, the forces brought the bomb to the destruction location and safely destroyed it according to procedures, without any incidents.
