Finding ways to promote innovative entrepreneurship in universities.

NDO - On the afternoon of April 19th, in Ho Chi Minh City, within the framework of the 7th National Student Entrepreneurship Festival 2025, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a workshop with the theme "Breakthrough Solutions to Promote Innovative Entrepreneurship in Higher Education Institutions".

In her opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Thi Kim Chi emphasized the crucial role of higher education in the national education system, as well as the importance of promoting innovative entrepreneurship in higher education institutions.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chi stated that the Politburo has issued Resolution 57-NQ/TW on the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation, and has assigned the Ministry of Education and Training to develop a separate resolution to create breakthroughs in the education sector.

In that spirit, the Deputy Minister of Education and Training requested that the delegates attending the workshop propose breakthrough solutions to help Vietnamese higher education affirm its position in training high-quality human resources, contributing to national development in the digital age.

At the workshop, delegates and experts from higher education institutions and businesses discussed and proposed ideas for developing a set of criteria to evaluate entrepreneurship activities in educational institutions; determining the minimum expenditure structure for supporting entrepreneurship activities; and strengthening public-private partnerships and establishing a national fund to support student entrepreneurship.

Comrade Dang Van Huan, Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), affirmed the necessity of issuing a set of indicators to evaluate entrepreneurship and innovation.

At the same time, it is suggested that leaders of higher education institutions need to make a strong commitment to promoting and building an effective startup ecosystem.

In the coming period, the Ministry of Education and Training will focus on supporting the development of teaching materials, organizing and training faculty members… to ensure both the quantity and quality of resources for teaching and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education institutions.
