Identify 4 unique tourism products
Homestay tourism is one of the province's key products. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with sectors and localities to actively encourage homestay establishments to maintain product quality, diversify services, and organize many experiential activities to attract tourists (cooking, baking, cycling to explore the beauty of the countryside, enjoying traditional music, lighting torches to watch opera, etc.).

Up to now, Vinh Long province homestay has been recognized as meeting ASEAN standards 3 times, the most in the Southern region. This is a testament to the outstanding service quality of this product that other provinces in the Mekong Delta region do not have.

In agricultural tourism products, in coordination with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, support was deployed to introduce OCOP products at 6 tourist destinations and relics. The model of linking tourism with agriculture was surveyed to assess the implementation status, record and focus on solutions to overcome shortcomings, and at the same time balance the budget to continue to introduce some new points in the following years.

In addition, setting a Vietnamese record for the content of processing and performing dishes and drinks from Binh Tan sweet potatoes and Binh Minh pomelos contributes to promoting and spreading the value of culinary culture on the basis of typical agricultural products of Vinh Long.

Craft village tourism is also promoted. My Hoa tofu village (Binh Minh town) and other localities in the province promote the beauty of local cuisine and set a Vietnamese record. In addition, the Red Brick and Ceramic Festival - Green Economy promotes the beauty of Vinh Long pottery with its rustic materials and characteristic red color alongside other famous pottery villages across the country.

The Mang Thit Contemporary Heritage Project aims to preserve and develop the Mang Thit "brick kiln kingdom" into a valuable heritage area of international stature, a destination on the regional and national tourism map, on the basis of preserving and promoting the values of local heritage, culture and ecosystem.

Along with the record of the longest red ceramic and flower road in Vietnam, Tu Buoi Ceramic House achieved the Vietnamese record of “The largest traditional 3-room, 2-wing house made of Vinh Long red ceramic in Vietnam”. Mr. Nguyen Van Buoi said that building the red ceramic house shows his love for the red ceramic craft in his own way.

All are the passion and hard work of artisans who want to “breathe life” and find new directions for their ancestors’ profession. The Indian Council for Global Trade and Technology has just certified Tu Buoi Pottery House Tourist Area as one of the Top 10 Global Prestigious Brands. This is an opportunity to promote Vinh Long red pottery to tourists around the world.

Develop potential advantages

To develop sustainably, tourism must have its own characteristics. This determination will help the province's tourism industry focus on investing in unique products, not spreading out. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the milestone marking the recovery of the tourism industry is 2024, when the province welcomes 1.85 million visitors, surpassing 2019 - the time before the pandemic with 1.5 million visitors.
