Dorgu may return sooner than expected. |
According to Goal , Manchester United are optimistic about Dorgu's current condition, as the defender could return sooner than expected. This information was shared by Denmark's national team coach, Brian Riemer, ahead of the March international break.
Dorgu suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-2 victory against Arsenal at the end of January. Initially, assessments suggested he might be out until April. However, his recovery is progressing well, raising hopes that he will be fit to participate in the upcoming national team training camp.
The Danish national team is preparing for their World Cup play-off match against North Macedonia on March 26th. If they win, they will play a decisive match against either the Republic of Ireland or the Czech Republic on March 31st. Coach Riemer did not rule out the possibility of Dorgu recovering in time, while emphasizing the player's strong desire to return.

Dorgu played impressively before his injury. |
Previously, coach Michael Carrick had been cautious when speaking about Dorgu's condition. He admitted the injury was more serious than expected and said the medical team needed more time to determine the exact time of his return. However, Coach Carrick also praised Dorgu's contributions during his successful period before the injury.
The Danish defender impressed greatly with his all-around offensive and defensive capabilities. Not only did he effectively support the attack with his bursts of speed and daring shots, but he also ensured solidity on the left flank.
Dorgu previously revealed that he was inspired by former player Patrice Evra, who publicly praised his spectacular goal against Arsenal. Dorgu's return would be a major boost for MU during this crucial stage of the season.
