1/ Upon arriving at Nhi Long, hearing stories of past victories fills one's heart with immense pride. Like melodious songs echoing in the afternoon on the river, they stir the soul of travelers with every step they take through this homeland…

Every banana tree and bamboo grove still seems imbued with deep affection. The coconut trees of the countryside lean over, reflecting in the clear water, like a mother's lullaby soothing the hearts through times of turmoil. Even the trees know resentment; coconut trees once sheltered soldiers and surrounded the enemy during military campaigns. The sound of the mines fired by Ho Thi Nham not only struck fear into the enemy but also ignited hope for victory.

2/ Each simple thatched roof became a sturdy fortress, sheltering the troops through enemy raids. The water jar outside the porch also became a legend, a hidden bunker. Mother Earth, so forgiving, has nurtured so many outstanding children. The heroic Red Coconut River shines with glorious victories. I remember the dark night…the gentle sound of the three-leaf boat, on the Coconut Canal, carrying so many troops to the battlefield. Amidst bombs and bullets, the female guerrilla remained steadfast, writing a fairytale love story with a security soldier.
