Toll collection organization for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.

To facilitate traffic flow on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, the Vietnam Road Administration has requested Road Management Area IV and toll collection service providers to urgently implement a plan for organizing toll collection on the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.

The toll collection will officially take effect from May 24th, ensuring safety, smooth traffic flow, and minimizing traffic congestion.

Following the directives of the Ministry of Construction and based on the consensus of all relevant parties, the Vietnam Road Administration has developed a specific plan to handle toll collection transactions when new sections of the southern expressway network are added.

For vehicles without input data while traveling on the route, the operating units will create OTC transactions at the exit toll lanes. For vehicles with input data but without recording exit information after 3 hours, the system will automatically calculate and collect tolls based on the exit at the interchange with the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.

The Ring Road 3 interchange connects with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.

To ensure smooth implementation, VEC was tasked with researching and developing a plan to organize and arrange separate toll lanes for vehicles entering from the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow. The Vietnam Road Administration also requested that investors coordinate closely and proactively increase on-site personnel to promptly guide and assist drivers and handle any technical issues that may arise, preventing traffic congestion at the gateways to Ho Chi Minh City.

Furthermore, the two providers of automated toll collection services, VETC and VDTC, are responsible for closely coordinating and developing solutions to create OTC transactions, conduct post-audits, reconcile, and collect fees in accordance with the toll collection plan. In cases where the units have fully completed the verification process but still lack sufficient data to accurately determine the journey, or encounter situations where vehicle owners are uncooperative in the collection process, the service providers will coordinate with relevant authorities to handle the matter in accordance with the law.

The collaboration between infrastructure management units and technology companies is expected to ensure smooth and safe journeys for the public, while also creating a solid foundation for the synchronized operation of component projects within the Southern region's expressway network in the near future.
