Attending the incense offering ceremony were Politburo member - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Trong Nghia; Politburo member - Standing Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security;... along with leaders of Da Nang city and other localities.


General Secretary To Lam, along with the Central and city delegations, laid wreaths and offered incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at the city's memorial.

In a solemn and moving atmosphere, General Secretary To Lam and the delegates respectfully observed a minute of silence to commemorate the immense contributions of the great President Ho Chi Minh , the heroes and martyrs, the heroic Vietnamese mothers, and all those who bravely sacrificed themselves for the cause of national liberation, the liberation of their homeland, and the protection of the Fatherland.

Exactly 50 years ago, at 11:30 AM on March 29, 1975, the "Determined to Fight, Determined to Win" flag of our army and people flew atop the City Hall, marking a momentous historical event - the liberation of Da Nang city.
