In the vibrant atmosphere of welcoming the Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, Cam Pha City has launched many emulation movements with many meaningful and practical projects and tasks, creating strong motivation to encourage cadres, Party members and the people to join hands in building a civilized city.
These days, the construction site of the road connecting Vung Duc Street in Cam Dong Ward to Cam Son Ward in Cam Pha City (Phase 1) is bustling with the energy of workers and machinery. Taking advantage of favorable weather, the construction unit has mobilized manpower and increased the number of construction teams to complete the remaining items. Mr. Duong Van Hoan, a technical officer of Hai Duong Green Co., Ltd., said: "Our unit was assigned to construct the road surface, electrical infrastructure, and sidewalks. From the very beginning of the project, we have always been determined to ensure the project is completed on schedule as committed to the investor. We have mobilized all our workers, as well as machinery and equipment, taking advantage of favorable weather, working overtime and extra shifts to ensure progress and quality, striving to hand over the project to the investor for use as soon as possible, ensuring the smooth transportation of the people."
Spanning over 1.2km, the road connecting Vung Duc Street in Cam Dong Ward to Cam Son Ward in Cam Pha City (Phase 1) has a total investment of over 432 billion VND from the city's budget and provincial support. This project was chosen to be marked with a commemorative plaque celebrating the Party Congresses at all levels and the 16th Quang Ninh Provincial Party Congress. The investment aims to create a seamless connection with the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road to the center of Cam Pha City, creating a modern coastal transportation route with synchronized technical infrastructure, contributing to expanding the socio -economic development space of the city.
According to Mr. Nguyen Kieu Hung, Director of the Cam Pha City Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the project is currently over 90% complete and is finishing the road paving, sidewalk construction, and tree planting. During implementation, the unit directed all contractors to concentrate machinery and manpower to the highest level, taking advantage of favorable weather conditions to accelerate the project's completion by May 2025, at which time a commemorative plaque will be installed to celebrate the Party Congress at all levels. The unit hopes the province will support the city in promptly implementing the next phase to complete the road connecting Cam Pha with Van Don, contributing to the upgrading of a comprehensive and seamless transportation infrastructure, and expanding the space for socio-economic development.
Based on the emulation movements launched by the City Party Committee, units and localities throughout the city have actively registered and implemented many meaningful and practical projects and tasks. Through the mobilization of social resources, a widespread impact has been created with the enthusiastic and responsible participation of cadres, Party members, units, businesses, and the people in the area. The projects and tasks implemented are in line with the needs and aspirations of the people, contributing to the completion of criteria in upgrading transportation infrastructure, urban beautification, creating motivation for emulation in learning, labor, and production, and promoting socio-economic development.
Typically, the road in Alley 44, Group 1, Le Loi area, Cam Tay Ward, which was previously muddy, cramped, and narrow (with the widest point only 1.6m), has now been upgraded, widened, concreted, and cleaned. The total construction cost was 430 million VND, entirely from social contributions from residents and businesses in the area. In the spirit of "the state and the people working together," during the fundraising process, eight households along the road, despite facing many difficulties, unanimously agreed to contribute 40 million VND each, with some households contributing up to 60 million VND. In addition, there were contributions from officials, Party members, and businesses in the ward. The completed road has facilitated convenient travel for residents, contributing to traffic safety, public order, and urban aesthetics.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Cam Tay Ward (Cam Pha City), said: Besides the project on Alley 44, Group 1, Le Loi area, since the emulation movement began, the entire ward has had 21 models and tasks registered and implemented by residential groups and neighborhoods with 100% funding from social contributions. Typical examples include installing security cameras for urban order and environmental sanitation; renovating public sports and recreation areas; and building solidarity houses for people in difficult circumstances… To mobilize the participation and consensus of officials, Party members, and the people in the area, leadership and guidance in implementation have always been closely aligned with reality, clearly defining responsibilities and tasks, and ensuring transparency, thus creating high trust and agreement. The completed projects contribute to fulfilling the criteria for building a civilized urban area, serving and improving the quality of life for the people.
In preparation for the upcoming Party Congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, from 2024 to the present, Cam Pha City has implemented 90 projects and 126 tasks registered by 22 wards, communes, units, and businesses in the area. The majority of the funding comes from the self-funded budgets of the units and businesses, as well as the mobilization of social resources from officials, Party members, and the people in the area. The completion of these projects and tasks is of significant importance to urban beautification, transportation infrastructure, ensuring security and safety, and promoting socio-economic development.
