Ho Chi Minh City began collecting tolls at the Phu Huu BOT toll station (Thu Duc City) to recoup investment for the project connecting Nguyen Duy Trinh road to Phu Huu Industrial Park, starting from September 17th.
Vicem Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company (the investor) has just issued Decision No. 2328/QD-HT1 promulgating the road usage fee for the BOT project to build a road connecting Nguyen Duy Trinh Street to Phu Huu Industrial Park, Thu Duc City.
Toll collection will begin on September 17th. The tolls will be collected through an automated non-stop system, similar to the one currently in use at toll stations.
Regarding fees, there will be three types of tickets: single-trip tickets, monthly tickets, and quarterly tickets. The lowest single-trip ticket price is 14,000 VND/trip, and the highest is 110,000 VND/trip (the price increases progressively for each type of vehicle).

Vehicles exempt from tolls at the Phu Huu BOT toll station are those with fewer than 12 seats, not used for business purposes, and belonging to households residing permanently or temporarily for more than 6 months on Nguyen Thi Tu and Dang Thanh Hieu streets.
Upon learning that the Phu Huu BOT toll station was preparing to collect tolls, many businesses expressed strong dissatisfaction because the route is too short, and the toll collection would create double charging, causing difficulties for businesses amidst the current decline in orders.
The BOT project for the road connecting Nguyen Duy Trinh Street to Phu Huu Industrial Park in Thu Duc City is over 2 km long. The total investment according to the contract signed in 2012 was 461 billion VND (excluding loan interest and equity costs during construction).
The investor of this project is Vicem Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company.
