Recently, on a travel forum with more than 1.7 million members, an account's post attracted a large amount of interaction. The post shared an image of a foreign female tourist wearing a bikini sitting on the back of a motorbike, traveling on a route surrounded by majestic mountain scenery.

Many travel enthusiasts soon realized that this is the route belonging to Du Gia commune, Ha Giang (old) now in Tuyen Quang province. This is also the area not far from Du Gia waterfall.

The image quickly received mixed opinions. Some said that the tourists' way of dressing was inappropriate in public spaces, especially in the highlands where many ethnic minorities live with unique cultural values and traditions.

However, there is also the opinion that these could be visitors who have just finished their journey to experience bathing in Du Gia waterfall and are on their way back so they have not had time to change clothes. In this situation, people should have a sympathetic view.

Speaking to reporters, a representative of the transport company - which provides car rental services with drivers for tourists - confirmed that this was an image taken when the tourist had just returned from Du Gia waterfall. The tourist was still wearing a bikini after bathing in the waterfall, without having had time to change clothes. The representative denied that the tourist intentionally wore a bikini to walk on the street or in public places.

"Normally, visitors to the waterfall wear bikinis to swim. That's normal. However, this time when the visitors moved from the waterfall area to the car, some images shared online caused an unfortunate misunderstanding," the representative said.

According to this person, this is the first time the unit has encountered such an incident. After seeing mixed opinions from the public, the shipping unit proactively removed the related images and content to avoid creating unnecessary controversy.

When reporters asked about how to handle the incident, the passenger transport company said they would remind passengers and ask the driver team to be careful. In case passengers have just finished bathing, the driver encouraged them to wrap a towel or change into discreet clothes before leaving the waterfall area, especially when moving through residential areas.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter on the evening of September 11, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Phuc, chairman of Du Gia commune, said that the local authorities will step in to inspect and verify the matter.

Currently, Du Gia waterfall area is still an attractive destination for international visitors, especially groups of visitors who love to experience wild nature.

However, ensuring cultural behavior at this destination requires higher requirements for tour operators, tour guides as well as local authorities, so as to ensure a friendly tourism image, while still preserving the culture and customs of the local people.

In recent years, Du Gia waterfall has become one of the must-see destinations for foreign visitors on their journey to conquer the Ha Giang Loop.

While locals consider the waterfall as a "sleeping fairy in the mountains and forests", international visitors coming here to sightsee and experience bathing in the cool water are always crowded.

About 70km from the city center, visitors can choose 2 means of transport: car or motorbike, going in the direction of Bac Me - Cao Bang along provincial road 33 or following national highway 4C to Mau Due and turn onto DT181 to reach Du Gia.
