Preliminary investigation results show that construction workers illegally placed perlite (perlite) on the roof during the construction of a teaching building adjacent to the gymnasium. Under the influence of rainwater, the perlite on the roof increased in weight, leading to this ceiling collapse.
According to the local government, the walls of the sports arena are grid-shaped and the roof is made of concrete slabs.
