China's new J-35A stealth fighter jet will be showcased for the first time next week at the country's largest civil and military aviation exhibition.
The six-day China International Aerospace and Space Exhibition will begin on November 12 in Zhuhai city, Guangdong province, according to Reuters today, November 8.
As the highlight of the program, the People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) of China will unveil to the public the new J-35A stealth fighter jet from Shenyang Aircraft Corporation. The PLAAF describes the J-35A as a "medium-sized stealth multirole fighter jet".

The J-35A is a variant of the J-35, a stealth fighter that China is developing for use on aircraft carriers. There is currently little information available about the performance or capabilities of the J-35A, although it outwardly resembles the F-35 from the American defense corporation Lockheed Martin.
The J-35 program is the successor to the Chinese-made J-31 fighter jet, which debuted to the public at the Zhuhai Airshow in 2014 but has never been used by the Chinese military or sold to foreign customers, according to Reuters.
Diplomats and security analysts have closely monitored the development of J-35 variants due to the importance of this fighter jet to China's aircraft carrier program.

November 11th marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the PLAAF, so this force will have the largest presence at the aforementioned exhibition, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Russia also brought its most advanced fighter jet, the Su-57, to Zhuhai for its first overseas air show. This is seen as a clear message to the West about Sino-Russian cooperation, according to Reuters.
