Recently, Vietnam was once again honored in the list of the top 15 cuisines in the world . This is not only a source of pride but also an opportunity to promote the image of the land, affirming the value of traditional cuisine in the modern era.
In October 2025, an American magazine ranked Vietnam 4th in the list of "Countries with the best cuisine in the world in 2025". Experts explained that one of the reasons is because Vietnam possesses a warehouse of fresh ingredients from golden ripe rice fields. That is why rice dishes have always been a source of inspiration for many people working in the culinary field.
Mr. Vu Trung Ninh (Content creator) proudly said: "In Hanoi alone, without going far away, there are vermicelli and pho dishes made from very fresh and delicious rice grains. The skillful use of starch through vermicelli and pho noodles and spices has created an extremely attractive flavor that in Hanoi can be explored from morning to night without running out of vermicelli and pho, so I feel very proud and inspired."
Vietnam’s entry into the top 4 is not only due to the taste of the food but also the diversity in the way of enjoying it, when simple street food can stand next to luxurious dinners. Many professional chefs with the spirit of preserving national identity also research and choose to bring rice dishes to high-end restaurants with expensive ingredients.
Chef Nguyen Van Khu shared: "You can eat porridge, rice paper, vermicelli and many restaurants pay great attention to rice dishes so rice grains are very important in a meal. Combining rice with expensive ingredients not only elevates Vietnamese rice but also helps tourists remember the cuisine of a country with a long-standing rice civilization."

This achievement is not only a source of pride for Vietnam but also opens up a great opportunity to promote the country's image through cuisine. Many tourism products inspired by rice grains have also been created, such as the Thoc - Lua - Gao carriage of Metro Line 6 located in Ngu Xa, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, so that visitors to Vietnam can not only enjoy but also understand the journey of Vietnamese rice grains.
Mr. Nguyen Dan Huy - Vice Chairman of Ba Dinh Ward People's Committee, Hanoi City said: "In the train cars we set aside to introduce, we specially built a car about rice civilization and especially introduced many dishes made from rice - a specialty of Vietnamese cuisine. In this train car, we help tourists make their own dishes under the guidance of experts, artisans and chefs. The ambassadors shared that they have traveled to many countries and experienced many cultures, but when they came here, they were really impressed when the way we told stories about cuisine really touched the hearts of the ambassadors."
From rice grains, Vietnamese cuisine has become a cultural bridge, each dish reflects the creative spirit and identity of the nation and it is from these values that are contributing to positioning Vietnam as an impressive tourist destination on the world map.
