In October 2025, an American magazine ranked Vietnam 4th in its list of "The World's Best Culinary Countries 2025". Experts explain that one of the reasons is Vietnam's abundance of fresh ingredients from its golden rice paddies. Therefore, dishes made from rice have always been a source of inspiration for many in the culinary field.

Vu Trung Ninh (Content creator) proudly stated: "Just in Hanoi, without even going far, there are noodle dishes made from very fresh and delicious rice grains. The skillful way the starch is incorporated into the noodles and pho, along with the spices, creates an incredibly appealing flavor that you could explore from morning till night in Hanoi and still not finish. I feel very proud and inspired by this."

Vietnam's inclusion in the top 4 is not only due to the flavors of its dishes but also the diversity in how they are enjoyed, with humble street food being served alongside luxurious dinners. Many professional chefs, with a spirit of preserving national identity, are also researching and selecting dishes made from rice to bring into high-end restaurants with expensive ingredients.

Chef Nguyen Van Khu shared: "You can enjoy rice porridge, spring rolls, vermicelli, and many restaurants pay close attention to dishes made from rice, so rice is very important in a meal. Combining rice with expensive ingredients not only elevates the status of Vietnamese rice but also helps tourists remember the cuisine of a country with a long-standing rice-based civilization."

This achievement is not only a source of pride for Vietnam but also opens up great opportunities to promote the country's image through its cuisine. Many tourism products inspired by rice have also been created, such as the "Rice Grain" carriage of Metro Line 6 located in Ngu Xa, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, allowing tourists visiting Vietnam not only to enjoy but also to understand the journey of Vietnamese rice.

Mr. Nguyen Dan Huy, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi, said: "Among the train carriages we've dedicated to showcasing the culture of rice cultivation, we've specifically designed one to highlight the rice-based civilization and introduce many dishes made from rice – a distinctive feature of Vietnamese cuisine. In this carriage, we help visitors prepare these dishes themselves under the guidance of experts, artisans, and chefs. The ambassadors shared that they have traveled to many countries and experienced many cultures, but they were truly impressed by how our storytelling about Vietnamese cuisine touched their hearts."
