In Chieng Le village, after working hours, many residents choose to go to the community center to read books and newspapers, exchange experiences in production, healthcare, and the education of their children, especially the elderly. The village's community library, which has been in operation since 2022, has over 200 books on law, literature, healthcare, and life skills. Mr. Bac Cam Phuc, Chairman of the Elderly Association of Chieng Le village, shared: "Since the community library was established, many members have maintained the habit of reading in the afternoons. The books on healthcare and daily life are very practical for the elderly. Through them, people gain more knowledge to take care of themselves, live happily, and stay healthy."
Meanwhile, in Bo Xanh village, the community library has proven highly effective through summer activities for children. Over 200 books across various genres such as comics, history, science , and life skills have become a valuable resource, attracting many students to read after each activity organized by the Youth Union and other organizations. This creates a healthy environment and helps students expand their knowledge, hone their skills, gradually develop a reading habit, and reduce their time spent on electronic devices.

Luong Thi Anh Nguyet, from Bo Xanh village, shared: "After summer activities, I often stay at the community center with my friends to read children's stories and science books. Reading helps me gain new knowledge and skills in my studies and life."
Mr. Luong Van Thanh, Party Secretary and Head of the village, said: "During the summer break, many students come to read books, especially on Saturdays and Sundays. In the future, the village will continue to add books suitable for children's age group to meet their learning and research needs."
Muong Gion commune has established 23 community libraries in village cultural centers, with nearly 5,000 books covering various fields, meeting the learning and knowledge-seeking needs and enhancing the spiritual lives of the people. To ensure the effective operation of these libraries, the commune's Party committee, government, and mass organizations regularly mobilize cadres, Party members, organizations, and individuals to donate books and newspapers; they also assign the villages to manage, organize, and supplement the books, and encourage people to participate in reading and borrowing, fostering community involvement in building and maintaining a reading culture.

Ms. Luong Thi Duyen, Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Muong Gion commune, said: The commune continues to maintain the operation of community libraries, mobilizing social resources to add new books, and at the same time linking the activities of the libraries with the activities of mass organizations, summer activities for youth and children, and the movement to build a learning society, in order to improve the effectiveness of the model.
From bookshelves placed in the cultural centers of the villages, the community library model in Muong Gion is gradually bringing knowledge closer to the people, contributing to fostering a lifelong learning mindset, raising the intellectual level of the population, and building a sustainable learning society.
