The 2026 Provincial-level Competition for Excellent Speakers and Propagandists will have 27 contestants, selected from the cluster competitions and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee. The contestants will participate in three parts: preparing a presentation outline, delivering a presentation, and answering questions from the judging panel.
Immediately after being selected to participate in the provincial-level competition, the contestants proactively developed their preparation plans. Besides perfecting their presentation outlines, they dedicated time to in-depth research of documents and resolutions, and updated themselves on practical information from their localities, agencies, and units to enrich the content of their presentations. Furthermore, careful attention was paid to selecting the topic, developing the outline, and designing the presentation slides to ensure scientific accuracy, dynamism, and persuasiveness.
Sharing about the preparation process, Ms. Nong Thi Thuy, a Party member of the Party Branch of the Huu Lung Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center ( thuộc Huu Lung Commune Party Committee), said: "For the competition, I chose and developed the theme 'Digital transformation in vocational education and continuing education – from Party guidelines to practice.' This content is closely related to my professional field, so I had the opportunity to learn and research more deeply. In addition to closely following the guiding documents, I also spent time conducting field surveys, supplementing data and vivid examples from the unit's activities to make the presentation more practical and persuasive."
In addition to focusing on content, contestants also spent a lot of time practicing their oral presentation skills. From voice and body language to presentation style and audience interaction, everything was meticulously rehearsed. Many contestants even practiced their presentations to self-assess and address any shortcomings.
Ms. Hoang Thi Sen, Secretary of the Party Branch of Luc Bo village, Cong Son commune, shared: "To have a good presentation at the competition, I spent a lot of time practicing both the content and presentation skills. After each practice session, I reviewed my shortcomings in demeanor, intonation, and how I conveyed information. Besides that, throughout the preparation process, the Party committee also accompanied us, giving feedback and making adjustments to the outline and skills. Coming to the competition, I wanted not only to convey the resolution's content accurately but also to create a sense of closeness, helping listeners easily understand and remember the core information. Therefore, in addition to using Vietnamese, I also incorporated the Dao language, just like in my daily practice of disseminating information in my residential area."
This year, one of the highlights is the increased application of information technology in the contestants' entries. The presentation slides were elaborately designed with vivid images and videos , making the propaganda content more visual and engaging. This is also a trend being encouraged to innovate the methods of propaganda, meeting the increasingly high demands of oral communication today.
In fact, many competitions at the grassroots level have shown that entries with significant technological investment tend to have a wider impact and receive high praise from the judges. Many good and effective methods and practical experiences are shared and replicated, contributing to improving the quality of oral communication.
As the competition drew closer, the atmosphere of practice became even more intense. With thorough preparation, a sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, and high determination, the contestants were ready to enter the competition, demonstrating their abilities and character as propagandists, contributing to the widespread dissemination of the Party's policies and guidelines to cadres, Party members, and the people.
