The first tensions and disagreements emerged during the French national team 's training camp, just days before the start of the 2026 World Cup .
According to L'Equipe, the players disagree with the number of tickets allocated by the French Football Federation (FFF).

During a meeting with FFF President Philippe Diallo, many players expressed their dissatisfaction with this proposal.
Mr. Diallo stated that each player would receive eight tickets, two of which would be provided free of charge, while the remaining six would have to be paid for separately.
The players felt that this number was too small, as many of their relatives and friends would be traveling to the US to support the team at the World Cup.
This isn't the only issue FFF is facing. Another flashpoint concerns World Cup participation bonuses.
President Diallo decided to cut performance-based prize money due to the high costs of organizing and traveling to the United States.
However, in recent hours, negotiations have made positive progress, and the bonus each player will receive may be closer to their expectations.
The first signs of internal rifts have emerged within the French national team, although this is not expected to significantly affect the team's performance at the 2026 World Cup.
The players will continue to negotiate with the Federation regarding the number of tickets as well as performance-based bonuses.
As a gesture of goodwill, last Tuesday the entire team fully participated in commercial promotional activities with FFF's partners and sponsors without raising any objections.
