Meanwhile, Coach Pham Thai Vinh's players maintained their dominance thanks to their balanced performance across all lines. After several missed scoring opportunities, most notably a dangerous long-range shot from midfielder Ngo Manh Huy Hoang that hit the crossbar, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports team finally scored the opening goal in the 79th minute through Nguyen Minh Nhat. The reigning top scorer of the Vietnam Youth and Student Football League showed his exceptional goal-scoring ability with a powerful left-footed shot that beat goalkeeper Viet Quang (Dong Nai University of Technology). Nguyen Minh Nhat's valuable goal secured all three points for the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports team. This was also the third goal for the striker from Cu Chi (Ho Chi Minh City), putting him at the top of the scoring list in the finals (tied with Thanh Lich of Van Hien University with 3 goals).

In the final match of the group stage, the Water Resources University team easily defeated the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry team with a score of 2-0. Kieu Van Nam opened the scoring for the team representing the North. Van Nam was also the most special player on the field, as he has a disability in his left hand. With strong willpower, this winger overcame adversity to pass his university entrance exams and continue pursuing his passion for football. This was also the first match in which Van Nam was given the opportunity to play, and he did not disappoint the coaching staff and his teammates. Later, Le Do Tuan Minh scored to seal the 2-0 victory for the Water Resources University team.

Despite fielding their strongest lineup, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and Forestry team was eliminated from the tournament with three consecutive losses. Meanwhile, the University of Water Resources took the top spot, having the same 7 points as the Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports but with a better goal difference (4 compared to 3).
