On the afternoon of May 18th, the Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association held a conference titled "Hai Phong: Creating Plans and Leading the Future of Human Resources".
Attending the conference were members of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee: Vu Tien Phung, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; and Nguyen Duc Tuan, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City.

Also attending were representatives from city departments and agencies; the Vietnam Association of Construction Contractors, the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), partners from South Korea and China, and many large domestic and international construction corporations.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Vu Tien Phung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, affirmed that Hai Phong is aiming to become a modern, green, smart, sustainably developed industrial port city and a livable city.

The central government has assigned Hai Phong the role of leading the growth engine of the northern region with a target of at least 13% growth, focusing on developing key sectors such as seaports and logistics, industry, and training high-quality human resources.
With that goal in mind, the city highly appreciates the Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association's organization of the conference on linking urban development planning with the training of future human resources. At the same time, it hopes that the business community and contractors will continue to contribute their opinions to the process of developing the Hai Phong city planning until 2050, with a vision to 2075.

The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee acknowledged and commended the scholarship and educational support program with a total committed budget of over 6 billion VND for students in the construction ngành. This is a practical and meaningful activity that contributes to the development of high-quality human resources for the city in the future.
One of the highlights of the conference was the launch of the "Nurturing Talents" program for underprivileged, studious construction students in Hai Phong. The Hai Phong Construction Contractors Association and the City's Association for the Promotion of Learning signed a memorandum of cooperation to support long-term scholarships for students, with a total committed value of 6 billion VND in phase 1.

Outstanding graduates will have the opportunity to intern and work at major Korean corporations such as Samsung C&T, LG, Daewoo E&C, and Hyundai E&C, gaining access to an international working environment, before returning to contribute to the development of the construction industry in Hai Phong.
The conference also included working sessions and networking opportunities with partners from South Korea and China in areas such as industrial park infrastructure development, smart cities, construction technology transfer, and high-quality human resource training.
