The level 4 house of Mr. Tu Duy Tien's family (Trang Huong village, Doan Ket commune) was built in 1992. Up to now, the house has seriously degraded, with more and more peeling and cracking spots appearing, making the family's daily life always inconvenient, and the health of the members is also affected. Although Mr. Tien's family wants to renovate the house and kitchen to serve a better life, they cannot do so. The reason is that the family's land is in the planning of the high-end furniture factory project, so all construction or design... are not licensed.
Mr. Tien shared: Time goes by, the house is deteriorating, we are worried about our lives because it is not safe. The family's biggest wish right now is that the local government soon come up with a specific plan to solve the problem, creating conditions for people to feel secure and stabilize their lives in the long term.
It is known that the high-end furniture factory project invested by Mat Troi Joint Stock Company has a total area of 34.5 hectares, with a total of 79 affected households. The project implementation has announced land acquisition and conducted site clearance since November 2022, but to date, households in the project have not received compensation.
Mr. Tu Duy Hai, Secretary of the Trang Huong Village Party Cell, said: When the people received the notice about the project, they all agreed and complied with the requirement to maintain the status quo, not to renovate or build new houses, not to divide plots, not to change the purpose of use... to ensure the work of counting and compensating for land acquisition and clearance according to regulations. However, it has been nearly 3 years now, the project has not been implemented, and compensation for land acquisition and clearance for the people has not been carried out. We hope that the authorities will soon take action. If the project is implemented, there must be a plan to compensate for land acquisition and clearance for households. If it is not implemented, there must be an announcement to cancel the project soon, so that households can be proactive in production and business, maintain normal activities, and ensure that their lives are not disrupted.
According to Ms. Le Thuy Nga, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Doan Ket Commune (Van Don District), the above issue has been collected by the commune government through meetings with voters, sent reports to the district's specialized departments and offices and coordinated to find a definitive solution. The reason for the prolonged delay was determined to be that the investor, Mat Troi Joint Stock Company, has not yet arranged capital to implement the project. Therefore, the government has requested Mat Troi Joint Stock Company to soon arrange funding to resolve land acquisition for households.
According to information from the People's Committee of Van Don district, after the project of high-end furniture factory in Trang Huong village invested by Mat Troi Joint Stock Company was approved, the People's Committee of the district directed the Land Fund Development Center to resolutely implement the site clearance work. Currently, in some cases, the investors have not completed the signing of the transcript, so there is no basis for implementing the next steps. However, with the completed plan documents according to the process, the investors have not yet committed to arranging funds for payment, leading to the district not being able to approve the compensation plan.
To implement the project in accordance with the law, the People's Committee of Van Don district proactively manages the state in the locality, regularly inspects, urges and supervises the implementation of the project. The district continues to report to competent authorities to request the investor to coordinate with functional agencies and localities to concentrate resources, overcome difficulties and obstacles, and commit to speeding up the progress of the investment project in accordance with the approved planning.
