On the afternoon of December 22nd, the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association and the Soldiers' Photography Club inaugurated the photo exhibition '80 Years of Heroism in the Eastern Region' at 122 Suong Nguyet Anh Street, Ben Thanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition commemorates the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7 (December 10, 1945 – December 10, 2025) and the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2025). The event aims to honor the soldiers who have dedicated themselves to the cause of protecting and building the Fatherland.

The organizers cut the ribbon to officially open the exhibition.

Leading up to these important holidays, the Soldiers' Photography Club, in coordination with the Political Department of Military Region 7, organized a photography trip for over 40 members to various units of the Military Region 7 Armed Forces, including the 26th Armored Brigade, the 75th Artillery Brigade, the 77th Artillery Brigade, the 6th Regiment in Binh Duong, the Minh Dam Regiment in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, the 10th Regiment in the Sac Forest in Can Gio, the Gia Dinh Regiment, the 60th Special Forces Battalion, the 38th Chemical Battalion, the Military School, the Cu Chi Tunnels, the Armored Battalion, the 31st Guard and Military Control Battalion, and various border guard units in the city.

From thousands of photographs, the organizers selected 80 outstanding works to be featured in the exhibition "80 Years of the Spirit of the Eastern Region ". Each work is a vivid snapshot, realistically portraying the image of the soldiers of the Eastern region today – enthusiastically training on the training ground, inheriting and developing the glorious traditions of their forefathers, mastering modern weapons and equipment, and always ready to fight in any situation.

The exhibition commemorating 80 years of the heroic spirit of the Eastern region will run until December 28, 2025.
