Ca Mau is a young coastal region in the far south, located on the Ca Mau Peninsula, only having been developed for about three centuries. Throughout its history, its administrative boundaries have changed several times. Interestingly, Ca Mau has many administrative place names containing the words "Khanh" or "Tan," such as: Khanh Lam, Khanh Tien, Khanh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, Khanh An (U Minh district); Khanh Binh, Khanh Loc, Khanh Hung, Khanh Hai, Khanh Binh Tay, Khanh Binh Tay Bac, Khanh Binh Dong (Tran Van Thoi district); Tan Loc, Tan Phu (Thoi Binh district); Tan Xuyen, Tan Thanh (Ca Mau city); Tan Trung, Tan Duc, Tan Duyet, Tan Thuan, Tan Dan, Tan Tien (Dam Doi district); Tan An, Tan An Tay (Ngoc Hien district). These place names are closely linked to the history and culture of the region and are now developing, innovating, and preserving their unique cultural identity.

When mentioning Tan Phu, people immediately think of the Hung Vuong Temple Historical and Cultural Relic, a place that attracts many people to offer incense and pay respects, especially during the Hung Vuong Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony on the 10th day of the 3rd lunar month.

Tan An is a commune rich in revolutionary traditions, home to the traditional Goc Me Historical Site, where the first Party branch of the southernmost region of the country was established (in 1935).

Viewed from above, the center of Tan Loc commune is surrounded by rice and shrimp fields, a school with a bright red tiled roof, and well-developed transportation infrastructure.

Today, Tan Thuan, our homeland, is reaching out to the sea.
