Ms. Nguyen Thi Linh regularly raises around 600 chickens.
On her approximately 4-acre garden, Ms. Linh invested in building two sturdy chicken coops, regularly raising around 600 chickens per batch. The breed she chose is the Mia No. 1 - Dabaco chicken, a high-quality meat-type hybrid breed known for its strong resistance to disease, short rearing time, standard weight, and especially its delicious, flavorful meat, which is highly sought after in the market. Improved from the traditional Mia breed, this chicken is opening up an efficient and sustainable farming direction for many farmers in the area.
From the very beginning of sourcing the chicks, Ms. Linh pays special attention to vaccination and proper care according to technical procedures. After about 4 months of raising, the hens reach an average weight of 2.2 - 2.5 kg/each, and the roosters reach about 3 kg/each, at which point they are ready for sale. Thanks to the stable quality of the chickens and favorable market demand, all the chickens raised are bought by traders as soon as they are ready. With the current market price maintaining around 80,000 VND/kg, and selling 3-4 batches per year, the Mia chicken farming model helps Ms. Linh's family earn a stable profit of hundreds of millions of VND annually - a lasting "sweet reward" from the diligence and hard work of an elderly farmer who continues to strive for economic success.
