Households are allowed to sell up to 50% of their surplus solar power.(CLO) The government has just issued Decree No. 243/2026/ND-CP amending and supplementing regulations on the mechanism for buying and selling surplus electricity from self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power sources. Notably, the percentage of surplus electricity allowed to be bought and sold has been significantly increased from 20% (according to the old regulations) to a maximum of 50% of the electricity generated at the output, opening up great opportunities for households and installation units to optimize costs.
