The report on the artificial intelligence (AI) readiness index shows that Vietnam ranks 5/10 in ASEAN, surpassing the Philippines.
The results have just been published in the report "Government AI Readiness Index" conducted by Oxford Insights (UK). This is the 6th time the global AI readiness index report has been published, after 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In 2023, Vietnam's average score will increase, reaching 54,48 points (in 2022 it will be 53,96 and in 2021 it will be 51,82 points). Vietnam also surpassed the Philippines to rise to 5th place out of 10 in the ASEAN region, up one place compared to the previous year.
The report has expanded the ranking scope to 193 countries/territories. Accordingly, compared to the world, Vietnam ranks 59/193 countries/territories (in 2022 this number will be 55/181). This is the third year Vietnam has surpassed the world average.
To make its assessment, Oxford Insights relies on three pillars: government, technology, and access to databases and infrastructure. Of which, the government (regulations, policies, readiness to adapt to change scored 69,04 points. The remaining two pillars include technology (37,82 points) and the ability to access databases and infrastructure. infrastructure (56,58 points).
