On the morning of December 27th, in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province, Vietnam Rice Company Limited (Vinarice) held a ceremony to celebrate its 5th anniversary, marking a journey of continuous development in its mission of "Connecting the essence and elevating the value of Vietnamese rice".
Vinarice was founded in 2019 by the Vietnam Seed Corporation (Vinaseed) with the strategic goal of building a closed-loop rice value chain and developing the Vietnamese rice brand internationally.
Vinarice, headquartered in Thap Muoi district, Dong Thap province, has a total investment of over 350 billion VND and is the most modern seed and rice processing center in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, with a processing capacity of 50,000 tons of seeds and 100,000 tons of rice per year.
“Vinarice was nurtured and developed in the fertile rice-and-lotus land of Dong Thap, a place of simple people and the peaceful beauty of Southern Vietnam. From there, Vinarice has charted a course of strong development, continuing its goal of providing high-quality rice products and contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam's agricultural sector.”
"Vinarice not only provides high-quality rice varieties but also develops sustainable production models, closely connecting farmers and the market," affirmed Tran Truong Tan Tai, General Director of Vietnam Rice Company Limited.

After 5 years of establishment, Vinarice has supplied 280,000 tons of rice seeds and agricultural products to the market with its exclusively distributed branded rice seed product line. The company's revenue grew from VND 490 billion in 2020 to over VND 1,200 billion in 2024, an increase of nearly 2.5 times. Total revenue from 2020-2024 is VND 3,520 billion. Profit reached VND 80 billion in 2024.
In the project "Sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice cultivation associated with green growth in the Mekong Delta," Vinarice joins hands with the Government to act for the community and the environment…
At the celebration, Vinarice received a decision from the People's Committee of Dong Thap province approving the expansion of its production facility by an additional 1.1 hectares in Truong Xuan Industrial Cluster to develop a new agricultural processing plant, particularly for branded rice products primarily serving the export market.
By 2030, Vinarice aims to double its current size, becoming the top supplier of seeds and branded rice in the Mekong Delta. It also aims to successfully build a high-quality rice value chain, engage various social forces in the supply chain, and contribute to the restructuring of the Mekong Delta's rice industry.
At the same time, Vinarice remains committed to green and sustainable development. It participates in building the "Green Rice - Low Emission" brand, contributing to elevating the brand image of Vietnamese rice.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, Pham Thien Nghia, congratulated Vinarice on its spectacular success after 5 years of establishment; affirming that the Vinarice rice brand is a source of pride for Dong Thap. The province always stands alongside businesses and hopes that all businesses, investors, and scientists will work together with the province to develop a high-tech and sustainable agricultural sector.
At the celebration, Vinarice awarded 20 "Vinaseed Scholarships - Nurturing Talents" to underprivileged but academically优秀 students in Dong Thap province, each worth 5,000,000 VND.
This is one of Vinarice's annual activities since its inception, aimed at encouraging a spirit of learning and providing opportunities for children to develop.
