Vincom Retail changes CEO

Ms. Tran Mai Hoa returned to the position of CEO of Vincom Retail, on the same day Vingroup announced its divestment from this company.

Vincom Retail Joint Stock Company has just announced a change in its general director. Accordingly, Ms. Tran Mai Hoa has been appointed as CEO and Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Vincom Retail for the 2024-2028 term, starting from March 18.

Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, who previously held the position of CEO of Vincom Retail, was appointed Deputy General Director of Sales and Marketing.

This decision marks the return of CEO Tran Mai Hoa, after more than 5 months of changing positions with Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, from early October 2023.

Ms. Tran Mai Hoa was born in 1974, has a bachelor's degree in accounting from the National Economics University and the University of Foreign Languages ​​- Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

She joined Vincom Retail in 2014 as Director of Project Management at Vincom Mega Mall Times City and Vincom Mega Mall Royal City. She held the position of Deputy General Director of VRE from 2014 to early 2016, before being appointed CEO of this enterprise.

The change in senior personnel at Vincom Retail coincided with Vingroup's decision to divest all of its ownership in SDI Investment and Trade Development Company, thereby indirectly selling shares and only holding 18.8% of the capital in this company.

Vincom Retail is the unit in charge of Vingroup's retail real estate sector. After divesting here, billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's group still has 6 main business segments, including real estate trading and transfer, hotel - tourism - entertainment services, healthcare, education, manufacturing and other activities.

In 2023, Vincom Retail recorded net revenue and after-tax profit of VND9,791 billion and VND4,409 billion, up 33% and 59% compared to 2022. The company currently manages 83 shopping malls in 44 provinces and cities and plans to open 6 more malls this year.
