On June 16th, the Frankfurt High Court rejected all appeals filed by Ms. Dang Thi Hue, upholding the previous ruling of the Hanau District Court in the case involving Vingroup and Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong.
Ms. Dang Thi Hue is one of 68 organizations and individuals sued by Vingroup since September 2025 for spreading false, distorted, and fabricated information about the corporation and its leaders. Ms. Hue resides in Germany , therefore the lawsuit is being handled by a German court.
According to the ruling, Ms. Dang Thi Hue must remove all content and images deemed to be defamatory to Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong; and also pay all litigation costs and lawyer fees for Vingroup.
The court also stated that if she continues to violate the regulations, Ms. Hue could face administrative fines of up to 250,000 euros for each violation or imprisonment ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
Furthermore, the court stated that images created using AI technology or digitally edited are still subject to legal regulations regarding personal image rights. Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong has the right to request that the dissemination and publication of related images be prevented without his consent.
This is the final judgment. Following this ruling, Ms. Dang Thi Hue no longer has the right to appeal, and the judgment takes effect immediately upon issuance.
Last September, Vingroup simultaneously filed civil lawsuits, reported the matter to relevant authorities, and sent documents to relevant embassies regarding 68 organizations and individuals, both domestic and international, spreading false information about the corporation on the Internet.
According to Vietnamese businesses, the 68 individuals being sued and reported are account holders on platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, who posted and disseminated false information about the financial situation, quality and origin of products, legal issues, and personal information of company leaders.
After more than 9 months, according to Vingroup's statistics, approximately 74% of the infringing parties have proactively removed the offending content, posted public apology videos, and pledged not to repeat the offense. Of these, more than 50 YouTube channel owners, Facebook page owners, and TikTok account holders proactively admitted their गलती and rectified the consequences within 24 hours of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong's group announcing the lawsuit.
