VN-Index rose slightly, but foreign investors continued to be net sellers.

NDO - On February 6th, increased buying pressure in the afternoon helped the market recover and regain its positive momentum. Banking stocks, with strong gains in stocks like TCB, LPB, VCB, BID, HDB, CTG, MBB, etc., contributed positively, helping the VN-Index rise by 1.87 points to close at 1,271.48 points.


Market liquidity was high, with a total trading volume of over 668.22 million shares across all three exchanges, equivalent to a total trading value of over 14,528.98 billion VND.

Foreign investors continued their net selling streak for the fourth consecutive session, totaling over VND 405.40 billion, focusing on stocks such as VNM (over VND 73 billion), FRT (over VND 59 billion), MWG (over VND 50 billion), VPB (over VND 37 billion), SSI (over VND 33 billion), etc.

Conversely, stocks with significant net buying in this session included CTG (over 60 billion VND), PC1 (over 46 billion VND), GEX (over 25 billion VND), PDR (over 24 billion VND), VCB (over 22 billion VND), etc.

On the HoSE exchange, the trading value in this session was similar to the previous session, reaching over 11,943.45 billion VND.

In this session, the stocks that contributed positively to the VN-Index's increase of over 3.34 points included: TCB, LPB, VCB, VIC, BID, HDB, CTG, VND, GEE, and MBB.

Conversely, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index, causing it to drop by more than 1.93 points, included: VNM, FRT, BCM, GVR, BSR , VTP, SAB, GAS, MWG, and VRE.

In terms of sectors, banking stocks performed quite positively this session, rising 0.57%, mainly driven by VCB, BID, CTG, TCB, MBB,ACB , LPB, HDB, STB, VIB… Some stocks declined, including TPB, NAB, SGB…

The securities sector showed mixed performance, with some stocks rising by 0.45%, mainly VND, MBS, VIX, CTS, ORS, VDS, DSC, TVS, BVS… Conversely, stocks that declined included VCI, HCM, FTS, BSI, VFS…

The materials sector also showed mixed performance, with a 0.91% increase, mainly driven by stocks such as KSV, VGC, DPM, NTP, ACG, TVN, PTB, TDP, RTB, DNP… Conversely, declining stocks included GVR, DGC, DCM, HSG, BMP, VCS, PHR, CSV, NKG…

Insurance stocks also traded positively, rising 1.72%, mainly driven by PVI, VNR , BIC, MIG, BMI, ABI… Stocks that declined included BVH, PTI, PRE, AIC…

Software stocks saw a slight increase of 0.09%, mainly driven by FPT (+0.14%).

In this session, real estate stocks performed quite negatively, falling 0.10%, mainly due to declines in VHM, BCM, VRE, KDH, KBC, NVL, NLG, DIG, DXG, TCH… Stocks that saw significant gains included VIC, PDR, VPI, IDC, SNZ, KSF, SJS, HDG…

* The Vietnamese stock market index continued to maintain its positive momentum for most of today's trading session. The VNXALL-Index closed up 5.51 points (+0.26%) at 2,126.30 points. Trading volume exceeded 532.94 million units, equivalent to a trading value of over 12,790.52 billion VND. Across the market, 204 stocks increased in price, 90 remained unchanged, and 179 decreased.

* On the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), the HNX-Index closed at 229.13 points, up 1.15 points (+0.50%). Total trading volume reached over 44.97 million shares, with a corresponding transaction value of over 729.60 billion VND. Across the entire market, 107 stocks increased in price, 62 remained unchanged, and 61 decreased.

The HNX30 index closed down 0.47 points (-0.10%) at 476.34 points. Trading volume reached over 25.34 million units, with a corresponding value of over 511.38 billion VND. Across the market, 12 stocks increased in price, 3 remained unchanged, and 15 decreased.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 96.74 points, up 0.84 points (+0.88%). Total market liquidity reached over 52.61 million shares traded, with a corresponding trading value of over 722 billion VND. Across the market, 191 stocks increased in price, 92 remained unchanged, and 77 decreased.

* On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 1.87 points (+0.15%), at 1,271.48 points. Trading volume reached over 568.69 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of VND 12,921.54 billion. Across the entire exchange, there were 206 gainers, 77 unchanged stocks, and 233 losers.

The VN30 index rose 5.24 points (+0.39%) to 1,336.59 points. Trading volume reached over 189.60 million units, equivalent to a transaction value of over 5,792.21 VND. At the end of the trading day, 14 VN30 stocks increased, 5 remained unchanged, and 11 decreased.

The top 5 stocks with the highest trading volume were TCB (over 37.57 million units), VIX (over 23.31 million units), VND (over 21.48 million units), HPG (over 13.53 million units), and HDB (over 12.83 million units).

The top 5 gainers were NO1 (+6.97%), PAC (+6.97%), TCL (+6.94%), TNT (+6.93%), and APG (+6.89%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price drops were HU1 (-6.60%), ADG (-6.25%), RYG (-6.01%), NAV (-5.79%), and SHI (-5.29%).

* Today's derivatives market saw 159,220 contracts traded, with a value exceeding VND 21,348.15 billion.
