Tran Tuan Hung shared this with Tuoi Tre Online on the occasion of K+ television's free screening of the documentary "The Walls," from now until March 26th.

The film was widely released to coincide with the 8th anniversary of the death of rocker Tran Lap (March 17) and the 29th anniversary of the founding of the band Buc Tuong (March 26).

Don't just stand there admiring the "heritage."

After Tran Lap's death, guitarist Tran Tuan Hung became the new "leader" of Buc Tuong.

Tuan Hung explained that, for the members of the band Buc Tuong, all the great nostalgia, joys, and sorrows are contained within the month of March.

"This is the month that includes my birthday, drummer Trung Hieu's birthday, the founding day of the band Buc Tuong, and also the month that Tran Lap passed away," he said.

Since the passing of their senior, Tran Lap, over the past 8 years, Buc Tuong has come a long way to continue writing their own story, to fill in the unfinished parts left by Tran Lap and to continue the passion within each of the current members.

The band members shared that Bức Tường will not stand still and admire the "legacy" of the past, but will continue to create works, creating new "legacies" that bring even more meaning to the community.

What is the current situation of Tran Lap's wife and children?

Two days ago marked the 8th anniversary of the passing of artist Tran Lap.

Tran Tuan Hung recounted that his bandmates often visit his grave on his birthday, the anniversary of his death, and other special occasions, such as before a major live show by The Wall band.

"Everyone felt warmer and more confident after visiting him," the artist said.

Although the late artist Tran Lap is no longer with us, the relationship between the band members and his family remains unchanged.

He said that his brothers still often see his wife and children on holidays, and although they don't see them every day, they still keep track of them and are ready to support them when needed.

"Besides our camaraderie as former bandmates, we and Tran Lap's family also jointly own the works created by Buc Tuong and Tran Lap," according to Tran Tuan Hung, "the immediate task is to bring all the works to digital music platforms with the best quality for the audience."

He also revealed the current situation of the late artist's wife and children.

"Ms. Hoa wasn't in very good health for a while, but she's fine now. Her two children, Minh, are currently studying abroad, and Tú is preparing to enter university."

"We are very happy to see these young people growing up and becoming more confident," said guitarist Tuan Hung.

The documentary "The Walls," produced by K+, won the gold award at the 2022 National Television Festival.

This is the second documentary made about this band, the first being "Yesterday's Story". Produced in 2017 by the Central Documentary and Scientific Film Studio.

The film "The Walls" tells the story of the glorious, yet arduous and even tragic, career path of Bức Tường - the legendary Vietnamese rock band.

The film begins with the reflections of the members of the band Bức Tường since the death of rocker Trần Lập.
