The summer-autumn rice crop has been harvested on 95% of the planted area.

According to information from the Department of Crop Production and Plant Protection of Quang Tri province, this year's summer-autumn crop saw the entire province produce over 22,700 hectares of rice, reaching 101.8% of the plan, an increase of nearly 200 hectares compared to the previous summer-autumn crop.

The remaining unharvested area is approximately 1,000 hectares, mainly concentrated in Cam Lo district (100 hectares), Dakrong (250 hectares), Huong Hoa district (nearly 650 hectares), and scattered areas in Gio Linh district and Dong Ha city. It is expected that this remaining area will be harvested before September 10th.

According to assessments, this year's summer-autumn rice crop has been both bountiful and profitable. Rice yield is estimated at over 58 quintals/hectare, 0.8 quintals/hectare higher than the previous summer-autumn crop. Total production is estimated at over 132,000 tons. The average price of fresh rice is 7,500 – 9,000 VND/kg, with average revenue of approximately 65 million VND/hectare. After deducting costs for seeds and essential supplies, farmers earn a profit of 35 – 40 million VND/hectare.
