The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has issued a directive regarding news articles related to Ly Tu Trong College. According to the document, on October 25th, various media outlets published news articles concerning the college.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the City Department of Education and Training to urgently take the lead and coordinate with the Department of Culture and Sports , the City Police, the City Inspectorate, and other relevant units to review the reported issues; and to submit recommendations and proposals to the City People's Committee for strict handling in accordance with regulations (if violations are found).

Ly Tu Trong College in Ho Chi Minh City has submitted an explanatory report to the Department of Education and Training.
Regarding the incident, on October 28th, Ly Tu Trong College sent a document to the press explaining its intention to review and adjust or publish articles to clarify the previously published issues.
These issues include numerous irregularities related to the improper collection of tuition fees; the failure of the school to promptly refund tuition fee exemptions and reductions; violations in college-level admissions; and teachers' teaching hours exceeding the prescribed limits.
Dr. Dinh Van De, acting principal of Ly Tu Trong College in Ho Chi Minh City, said the school had sent a report to the Department of Education and Training explaining that some contents in the inspection report "do not accurately reflect the nature of the incident, and many actions were concluded too harshly," which could affect the school's reputation.
“We have provided all the necessary documents and are ready to cooperate with the Department of Education and Training to verify and clarify each point. Once we have the official results, the school will make a public announcement to avoid misunderstandings and misinformation,” the leader of Ly Tu Trong College affirmed.
