Kindness spreads

This year's National Unity Day takes place amidst the impact of floods and heavy rains in many localities, making community activities even more practical, transforming the spirit of solidarity into concrete actions and demonstrating the responsibility of each citizen.

Mr. Tran Van Thach, a retired official from Residential Area 2C (Ngu Hanh Son Ward), said: “The Great Solidarity Day has become a beautiful tradition, an opportunity for residents and neighbors in the area to become more closely connected. Especially this year, our residential area organized many campaigns to support people in the North affected by Typhoon No. 10 and called on each other to help people in areas affected by storms and floods in Da Nang and Central Vietnam. Each household contributed a little, but the important thing is the spirit of compassion – ‘a little help in times of need is worth more than a lot in times of plenty,’ and ‘sharing food and clothing’ in times of hardship.”

Mr. Ngo Van Hung, a Party member residing in Group 14 (Lien Chieu Ward), expressed: “Attending this year's National Unity Day, I clearly felt the solemnity but also the closeness compared to previous years. The program wasn't heavily focused on the celebratory aspects but rather on future tasks and honoring collectives and individuals who have made significant contributions to society. What moved me most was that those honored donated their gifts to support the flood victims. This act is very humane and truly reflects the spirit of national unity that we always strive for.”

During the National Unity Day celebrations, many urban residential areas also organized fundraising campaigns, calling on officials and residents to join hands in supporting communes severely affected by storms and floods. The activity received a positive response, demonstrating community responsibility towards localities facing difficulties.

In the highland communes, the festive atmosphere was also filled with heartfelt camaraderie. In Ta Lang village (Avuong commune), the Front Committee implemented many activities to unite the people, mobilize support for disadvantaged households after the floods, and help people stabilize their lives.

"Through this event, we hope that every citizen will be an active participant in activities in their community, working together to develop the economy , build a cultural life, preserve neighborly relations, and spread the spirit of solidarity so that each person does good deeds in the community," the Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ta Lang village emphasized in the program launching the emulation campaign for 2026.

Continue to promote the role of the Fatherland Front at the grassroots level.

According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, in 2025, residential areas throughout the city will continue to maintain and improve the quality of the "All people unite to build a cultured life" movement; many effective models will be replicated, from building green, clean, and beautiful roads, promoting community spirit, to supporting livelihoods for poor households, helping disadvantaged households and vulnerable people.

The people of the communes and wards actively participate in patriotic emulation campaigns and movements, creating an important impetus for the sustainable development of the city. These results are achieved thanks to the leadership of the Party committees, the coordinated efforts of the government, especially the responsible involvement of the Fatherland Front and associations and organizations from the ward to the residential area level, along with the consensus of the people.

As a mountainous area, the Front Committee of Village 56A (Dak Pring Commune) reported that it has applied many effective methods through coordination with branches and organizations to mobilize 100% of households to register for building culturally exemplary families, while also providing specific guidance on criteria regarding law compliance, economic development, solidarity and mutual assistance, environmental protection, and ensuring security and order.

“Thanks to the positive response from the villagers, the hamlet has achieved many encouraging results. In the coming time, the hamlet's Fatherland Front and the villagers will continue to promote solidarity, help each other develop the economy, alleviate poverty, and create a close-knit and harmonious community. In particular, we will focus on the model of a “United, prosperous, and happy residential area” to become a beautiful aspect of the spiritual life of the people of Gié Triêng,” shared Mr. Hiên Đá, Head of the Hamlet's Fatherland Front Committee.

Affirming the increasingly prominent role of the Fatherland Front in residential areas, Ms. Le Thi Nguyet, Head of the Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Phu 5B residential area (Thanh Khe ward), observed: “Through practical implementation, it has been shown that the Fatherland Front serves as both a bridge between the Party, the government, and the people, and a center for unity and gathering the strength of the community. The Fatherland Front not only propagates and mobilizes but also listens to feedback, monitors, and contributes to ensuring that all policies and guidelines, when implemented, are in line with the will and aspirations of the people.”

At the Quang Thanh 3B2 residential area's Solidarity Day, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hoa Khanh ward, addressed the importance of maintaining solidarity in the context of the ward continuing to implement the two-tiered government model and urban development.

Accordingly, the Front Committees in residential areas need to continue to play a core role in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; to understand the lives and concerns of the people in order to promptly address difficulties; to innovate working methods and focus strongly on the grassroots; to care for the lives of members and union members; and to foster a spirit of solidarity so that "no one is left behind."

Along with the determination to complete the tasks in 2025, in launching the emulation movement in 2026, residential areas aim to continue maintaining a vibrant spirit of competition; improve the quality of cultural life, expand self-governing community models, promote movements, and build a strong spirit of solidarity and sharing… This is also an important foundation for the communes and wards of Da Nang after the merger to develop further in the new phase.
